About Us
Gold 'n Blues is Marquette's first and premier coed a cappella group on campus. Gold 'n Blues, founded in 2008 by freshman Hilary Braseth and Katie Blazek, quickly grew from its early days of performances in the Brew to large venue concerts across the Milwaukee area. Gold 'n Blues hosts their own concert each semester on campus, as well as performing around campus with other student organizations, singing the National Anthem for Marquette sporting events, and traveling around the country!
Gold 'n Blues is currently proud to have 18 members. The group holds auditions yearly in the fall semester and occasionally in the spring semester. GnB typically is between 13 and 18 members, depending on the year. Our members come from a wide variety of majors and ages! Gold 'n Blues is committed to spreading their love for music around Marquette’s campus and the Milwaukee area. Now in its seventeenth year, GnB continues to arrange their own music and has recorded five studio albums. The most recent album, Resilience, is currently available on Apple Music and Spotify!
